TEAM TIKUN
Fatosh Delgado
I have embraced leadership from a young age, guiding numerous projects across various aspects of life. At my core, I am driven by curiosity and a passion for discovery. As a mother to five children—both biological and not—my home is filled with love and life’s many interesting challenges. I’m always striving to improve things, pushing boundaries, and challenging norms to create a world without limits. Today, I wear many hats, but the role that defines me most is that of a mother. I am the mom who hears words like “annoying,” “not normal,” or “atypical” used to describe my beautiful child and other children with differences, diagnoses, or disabilities. I have learned to speak fluently in terms like proprioception, motor planning, sensory-seeking behavior, and bilateral coordination—skills that rival the professionals. I celebrate every inchstone, milestone, and everything in between. My commitment is to build a community and foster education that focuses on ability rather than disability. I am not only a mother but also a daughter, sister, partner, friend, manager, co-worker, writer, neighbor, and achiever. While I may wish for certain things to be easier for my child, I would never wish for a different child. Instead, I work tirelessly to create meaningful change, both for them and others. In essence, I am a mother whose past hardships, joys, and accomplishments have shaped a lifelong mission: to pave the way for children to reach for the stars while clearing obstacles from their path.
